Flashes are pre-made, colored tattoo designs usually displayed in tattoo studios to inspire clients and showcase the artists' work. But what sets Adrian De La Fuente's Tattoo Flash 365 apart from other flash collections is that it was created under unique circumstances: the isolation imposed by the global lockdown of 2021.
“During the isolation period, I had so many ideas for tattoos, but I couldn’t offer them to my clients – so I decided to paint them by hand instead, one day at a time,” explains Adrià. “The more I painted, the more the work became a refuge of peace and inspiration. For me, this collection symbolizes the resilience of the human spirit and the power of art to lift us up even in the most difficult circumstances.”
A Lasting Passion
In 2012, Adriàn left his entire life behind—friends, family, and career—to train as a tattoo artist in Argentina. And that passion is evident in the delicate brushstrokes and playful compositions that practically leap off the pages of Tattoo Flash 365. “Adriàn’s work is a rich kaleidoscope of invention and variation,” says André van Zomeren, founder of Kintaro Publishing. “It’s a masterclass in blending old-fashioned traditions with influences from around the world.”
Printed in the Netherlands on the finest EOS IBO paper, Tattoo Flash 365 reproduces all of Adriàn's paintings in stunning detail. "This project has allowed me to unleash my creativity and affirm who I am as an artist," concludes Adriàn.
