On diameter, this needle sticks to the standard: 0.30 mm. This longbar 3008 is designed for strong outlines with a touch more weight than a 7.

On a round liner the needles sit tight and taper together at the tip. Made from 304 stainless steel with lead-free solder, it sits on the classic long needle bar. Its long taper runs out slim and releases ink in a controlled way.

What are longbar needles?

Longbar needles, also called long bar needles or needles on bar, are tattoo needles soldered onto a long needle bar. Unlike cartridges there is no plastic housing: the needle goes straight into your coil machine via grip and tube. Many traditional artists swear by this setup because they can tune their coil and needle precisely to their style. Hand-poke artists like using longbars as well.
