As a longbar, the needle group is soldered firmly onto a long needle bar and fits any coil machine. On a one off liner the centre needle of the round grouping is left out. Elsewhere this configuration is sold as a hollow or empty liner. Ink delivery stays easy to dose thanks to the long taper.

What are longbar needles?

Longbar needles, also called long bar needles or needles on bar, are tattoo needles soldered onto a long needle bar. Unlike cartridges there is no plastic housing: the needle goes straight into your coil machine via grip and tube. Many traditional artists swear by this setup because they can tune their coil and needle precisely to their style. Hand-poke artists like using longbars as well.
