This 9-needle Magnum longbar is built for solid colour in koi scales, leaves and ornaments. At 0.30 mm (US 10) you get the standard gauge, balancing precision and ink flow.

The longbar goes into your coil machine via grip and tube. Two staggered rows of needles (flat magnum) fill areas with defined edges. Pick the medium taper when you want more ink per stroke than a long taper gives.

What are longbar needles?

Longbar needles, also called long bar needles or needles on bar, are tattoo needles soldered onto a long needle bar. Unlike cartridges there is no plastic housing: the needle goes straight into your coil machine via grip and tube. Many traditional artists swear by this setup because they can tune their coil and needle precisely to their style. Hand-poke artists like using longbars as well.
